The Red Violin, the world's most famous violin and its owner, violin virtuoso Elizabeth Pitcairn will provide an evening of classical music on July 28, 2016 at 7:30 pm. The Red Violin was created by Antonio Stradavari in 1720. Through many lives and many owners, the Red Violin has thrived. A fictional account of its life was captured in the 1999 Academy Award-winning film, The Red Violin. The Indian Lake Theater will show the film on July 24.
The the Red Violin's current incarnation is in partnership with Elizabeth Pitcairn, virtuoso violist and President, CEO and Artistic Director of the Luzerne Music Center. She will be joined by pianist Barbara Podgurski and french horn player Beth Graham.
